WM LAX Summer Program

WMLAX summer program is a great opportunity for summer lacrosse play.  Players of all skill levels, genders, and ages come together in practices designed to increase lacrosse skills, and keep it fun for summer.  For those wanting more intense play and tournament play, check out our tournament teams and play.  Summer is meant to have some fun, but getting in a good workout, as well as learning some skills to take back to your team is bonus.  The entire team gathers at the beginning of practice for our warm up.  140 kids strong, all come together to warm up and interact.  Then we split off into ages, and genders for specific skill training with coaches.  Drills will include a lot of stick skills, ball handling, as well as footwork and passing.  There is also scrimmages between and combining age groups and genders to increase the fun aspect of the game.  Once practice comes to a conclusion, the whole team comes together once again to close out the evening with some interaction between players and coaches.  Interactions include players being introduced to the group, asked where they are from and what they like about lacrosse, as well as some interesting questions such as what is their favorite breakfast food, and what position on the field they like to play.  Overall the balance of skill training and fun, keep the fire alive for the game, and let them have a bit of fun for the summer.  Practices are typically 2 nights a week starting mid June and going thru July.  Practices are not manditory, and families can come to all, or pick and choose which ones to attend.  Each registered player gets a pinnie each season they attend.

This is registration for the general summer WMLAX practices from June 13 to July 27 2023.  If you are looking to register for travel WarPigs (boys) or Stingers (girls) teams, go to the travel team section.  You do not have to register for both if you are playing travel.

Practices will be at the Rahn practice fields at Northview High School Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-9pm

The first practice is June 13th and practices will go thru July 27st.

Practices are from 7pm to 9pm, and can vary depending in age.

2023 Price:  $115 per player plus a USA Lacrosse membership

When registering, you will be asked to add a USA Lacrosse membership.  These are $30 for 14U, and $35 for over 14.  Our rates for summer are $115, but we have to add this USA Lacrosse membership so as to cover insurances for the club.  This extra fee is collected at check out and goes directly to USA lacrosse for your player.  If this membership is kept up to date, you will not have to pay this again for future registrations.  If you already have a member number, you can add that and avoid this extra fee.  Thanks.
